Cyberpunk 2077 is very close to the end of its development

  • The long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 video game developed by CD Projekt is very close to the end of its development, as confirmed in a short official statement that we attach below:
  • “CD PROJEKT RED is carrying out the final stage of development of its most extensive role-playing game to date: Cyberpunk 2077. The game offers a live, open and high-tech world in which players assume the role of V: a cyberpunk who has recently entered the most dangerous metropolis in the world The future has passed: Night City. The gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 follows the rules of the Cyberpunk 2020 RPG system developed by Mike Pondsmith. "
  • So everything seems to indicate that the video game will be ready to see the light as planned on September 17 on PS4.

As CD Projekt RED dropped at the beginning of last July, although the message from the president of the company was attempted to make up a few hours later, Cyberpunk 2077 will feature multiplayer.

The study itself has confirmed it on Twitter this morning in a couple of messages, where they also say they are looking for people:

1/2 Until now, the only thing we said about multi was that it was in R&D. As we’re getting closer to launching ‘single player’ Cyberpunk 2077 in Apr. 2020, we’d like to confirm that multiplayer's in the works!     "1/2 Until now, all we have said about the multi is that it was under research and development. As we get closer to the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 'single player' in April 2020 we would like to confirm that the multiplayer is on development.     2/2 The plan for now is to deliver Cyberpunk 2077 in April, then follow up with DLCs (free!) And single player content, and - once we’re done - invite you for some multiplayer action.

Adam Kiciński, President of CD Projekt RED, stated last July that the studio was working on three projects related to Cyberpunk 2077 and assured that the studio they have in Wroclaw had 40 people working in the game's multiplayer mode.

Shortly afterward his words were nuanced by a company representative who said the following: "There are three teams focused on the development of Cyberpunk 2077. They include CD Projekt Red Warsaw and Krakow, which are dealing with the main game as well as the studio. Wroclaw, where around 40 industry specialists are engaged in research and technology development. " We tried to make up what Kiciński had said, who had mentioned the multiplayer directly, but in the end it turned out to be that.

Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on April 16, 2020
